Standard piano tuning is the process of adjusting the tension of each string to achieve the proper pitch and intervals across the entire instrument. Typically performed in A440 (440 Hz), the accepted international pitch standard, a trained piano tuner meticulously tightens or loosens the strings using a tuning hammer.
Additional charges may apply for pianos that have not been regularly maintained and require substantial pitch correction.
